Much much does a Hawaiian island cost? Recently the sixth-largest of the Hawaiian islands, Lanai, was purchased by the third-riches American, Larry Ellison. Ellison's net worth is estimated to be around $36 billion and the purchase of the island is thought to have cost Ellison somewhere north of $500 million. Lanai is home to about 3,100 people and Ellison purchased about 98% of the island, the state of Hawaii owns the other 2%.

A Hawaiian islands has more than five times better views than a $100 million New York City penthouse. The island is said to come with amenities such as two resorts.

If you are not familiar with Reddit, I would describe it as an online social bookmarking community. It’s not entirely different that Digg or Delicious except that it is has been built around a strong community. On Reddit, the community that start any number of subreddits around a particular theme. Popular subreddits include Pics or World News. I visit Reddit on a daily basis and it has a strong number of fashion related subreddits. Recently we noted that Britney Spears had joined Twitter. Twitter is an online service that allows you to send messages to friends through a variety of communication protocols such as SMS, chat, email, online, etc. I just found out that now Shaq is on Twitter. In a matter of less than a week, he has garnered over 11,000 followers and has posted 144 updates.

Shaq joins other celebrities such as Britney Spears, Sara Bareilles and Hammer.
