If you are not familiar with Reddit, I would describe it as an online social bookmarking community. It’s not entirely different that Digg or Delicious except that it is has been built around a strong community. On Reddit, the community that start any number of subreddits around a particular theme. Popular subreddits include Pics or World News. I visit Reddit on a daily basis and it has a strong number of fashion related subreddits. For any fashionista redditor I would recommend the following subredits.

Michelle Obama has received a tremendous amount of attention for her sense of fashion even before assuming her title as The First Lady. Michelle did not receive the most positive attention at the events following the inauguration. We will never forget that dreadful Jason Wu gown she wore at the Neighborhood Ball. Today, we are taking to celebrate Michelle Obama bringing the glamor back to The White House; we are very excited to see Michelle Obama’s style continue to evolve. This week we were especially impressed with her total look; even her hairstyle looks fabulous and it frames her face perfectly!

Since spring has officially arrived, it’s time to make sure that you have accessories in your closet that will keep you in style. This spring, accessories are more important than the outfit you’re wearing. Your outfit will look incomplete unless you wear accessories to complete the look. This spring the best accessories are over-sized sunglasses, cocktail rings, necklaces, and scarves. In terms of colors expect to see full and vibrant colors.
Silk Scarves are the perfect way to dress up a plain outfit. This spring it is important to make sure you are accenting your outfits with bright colors (such as fuchsia, turquoise, orange, green, and yellow). There different ways to tie your scarves, I highly recommend searching for a website that gives provides you with a photo or video tutorial of how to tie your scarves so that you can look picture perfect.
There is no better way to make a fashion statement or protect your eyes from the sun than to wear over-sized sunglasses. Not only do celebrities wear over-sized sunglasses but you will see your best friend wearing them this spring; please do not make the mistake of missing out on this trend. It really does not matter if you purchase high-end or low-end a sunglasses, please remember is to make sure they are in good taste.
Cocktail rings are a great accessory item for going out with friends or a significant other. I do not recommend them for work; however, I would find them appropriate for school for high school or middle school students. All colors and varieties seem to be in fashion, the more elaborate the more fashion forward you will appear.
Necklaces are important to wear for any occasion; this spring plan to wear a variety of necklaces to update your wardrobe. Necklaces seem to really make outfits stand out; it does not really matter if you are out with friends or in a business meeting because necklaces are a must have item for everyone. The one thing everyone must be cautious of is making sure that the necklaces are appropriate for the occasion.

Milan Fashion Week has begun with Elena Miro showing off her 2010-2011 Fall/Winter Collection. Her show drew significant attention due to the models showing off a different look. Apparently, the days of super skinny models are out of style. The fashion industry does not want to encourage models or aspiring models to starve themselves. This show was put together to “help real women to feel confident and at peace with themselves”, Elena Miroglio.

One of our favorite “Invitation Only” shopping sites has expanded their family of stores to include Gilt Man and Jetsetter. Gilt Man is a site dedicated exclusively to selling designer men’s clothing and accessories. If you were with the Gilt Groupe prior to their expansion, you probably saw men’s clothing offered occasionally. Due to popular demand, apparently men are looking for good deals on designer clothing! Just because the economy isn’t doing well, it doesn’t mean that you have to give up buying beautiful designer clothes. Everyone has a tighter budget and we are seeing more sales at some of the top department stores that carry our favorite designer brands but the prices at department stores can’t begin to compare to Invitation Only Shopping Sites. We have a wonderful running list, and we have to rave about these sites again because we can’t get enough of them. Our addiction began with wonderful finds at the Gilt Groupe, Rue La La, Hautelook, Editors Closet, and ideeli.
