Oprah Announces Her Exit in 2011

On Friday, talk show queen Oprah Winfrey announced that she will end her 25 year run of the Oprah Winfrey Show in September 2011. Oprah’s “retirement” from daytime television is significant because she was an inspiration for people worldwide. We’ve seen many women entrepreneurs develop the most innovative ideas just by sitting in front of the television and watching the Oprah Show. We’ve seen celebrities make and break their careers on the Oprah Show; one of the most memorable moments was seeing Tom Cruise stand on Oprah’s couch and profess his love for Katie Holmes. We all know that we can depend on Oprah for truth when it comes to celebrity gossip. Over the next 18 months, please make sure that you watch Oprah’s amazing last shows we expect to see many of our favorite celebrities.

We will have memories of Oprah dancing with Ricky Martin, MC Hammer, and on stage with some of her favorite singers.

Ricky Martin Plans to Return to Music!

Ricky Martin fans, listen up..In case you are not a close follower of his twitter. Ricky has announced that he will begin a 13 month World Tour next September. Once he finishes his book (which should be soon) he will begin promoting it like crazy. Ricky is also working on a new album, this will be his first album and tour since becoming a single dad to adorable twins Matteo and Valentino.

The Latin Grammy’s are one of the highlights of the year. Every year the Latin Recording Academy takes time to recognize outstanding musicians in the latino community. Just like the regular Grammy’s the
event is filled with non-stop action. Leading up to the Latin Grammy’s there were a series of concerts at street parties and various schools in Miami, Dallas, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Every year, the night before the Latin Grammy Awards, an artist is celebrated for their philanthropic efforts and their contributions to the music community. This year’s award recipient was Juan Gabriel; previous recipients include artists such as: Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Carlos Santana, Juan Guerra, Julio Iglesias, and Gilberto Gil.
