Celebrities are always trying to bank of their celebrity status. Once you have any sort of celebrity name to yourself you usually try to start a new clothing line, vitamin water, and/or restaurant. But now days celebrities can also try to launch social networking powered startups. Here s a short list of celebrity owned social network or something websites.

  • 50Cent – This is 50 – This site looks like his myspace, I would have named it This is Wacked.
  • 50Cent – 50cent – A social oriented ad for 50s music.
  • Ashton Kutcher – Blah Girls – A cross between TMZ and Power Puff Girls.
  • David Hasselhoff – Hoffspace – A personal social fan club for the Hoff.
  • Gwyneth Paltrow – Goop – At ths time, this seems like a newsletter, their is no content other than a message from Gwyneth.
  • Kanye West – Kanye Travel – Find hotels, rental cars, and cheap tickets in a cheesy website.
  • MC Hammer – Dance Jam – A cross between YouTube and America’s Best Dance Crew.
  • The RZA – Wu Chess – Play chess with the Wu Tang?
  • Will Farrell – Funny or Die – A cross between YouTube and College Humor, they had one break away hit video but since then I just assumed they had died.
  • Will Smith – Plugged In – Watch videos online with social features, probably the only streaming video site using Java.
