Today, sources close to Mariah Carey have confirmed her engagement to actor and musician Nick Cannon. Mariah Carey is 39 years old , and Nick Cannon is 12 years Mariah Carey’s junior. No statements have been made by the happy couple as of yet. This is Nick Cannon’s second very public engagement, the last was to Victoria Secret model Selita Ebanks.

It was just November 13, 2004 when Star Jones and Al Reynolds made all of their dreams come true in an extravagant wedding. Their wedding was the event of the century, it was said to be the most expensive celebrity wedding of its time complete with over 30 corporate sponsors. Many criticized Star Jones who was a television personality on “The View”, but she wanted to use her money make all of her childhood fantasies come true. Her diva like behavior earned her the title of bridezilla. Unfortunately, the entire marriage became tainted with constant rumors questioning Al’s sexuality and questioning Star’s weight loss. Many people believed the marriage was on the rocks for awhile. Reports have just surfaced Star has filed for divorce in March. According to sources close to the couple, they have been separated for at least 1 year. Recently, Star has been publicly seen with NBA basketball star Dwayne Wade, rumors have been circulating the two have been involved. So far, they both declare they are ‘just friends’.

Mother’s Day is coming up, its never too early to start thinking about the perfect gift.
For the Mother who loves top of the line cooking supplies & gourmet treats, shop at Williams-Sonoma. Even if your mother may think she has every gadget from the kitchen they will always have something new.
New mom’s could use some papering, considering taking her to a spa. Schedule a spa appointment at your local Four Seasons Hotel, perhaps you can dine at one of their award winning restaurants after the treatment.
For the “Material Mom”, spend a day at the mall with her. Treat her to something she’s been wanting that you know she would never buy for herself.
Gift cards make most people happy, I would recommend giving your mom a gift card to the local shopping mall, for Amazon, a day spa, Macy’s, Bloomingales, Barneys, or Tiffany’s. If you know her favorite store, I recommend taking her there and let her splurge.
Finally, Mother’s Day isn’t complete without giving her flowers from 1800Flowers or Edible Arrangements. If your mom doesn’t like flowers she is sure to love edible arrangements made from fresh fruit, you can even have the fruit dipped in chocolate!

Every since Britney Spears appeared on “How I Met Your Mother”, she has felt a renewed sense of confidence. Last time Britney appeared on the show, they received the highest ratings ever. Although Neil Patrick Harris wasn’t happy about the pop wreck making the appearance, there is talk that she maybe making more appearances. I guess if your music career is in the dump, become an actress. Well, let’s not count out Miss Britney yet, her good friend Bai Ling has told paparazzi that her boyfriend Damon Elliot (Producer) has been in the studio with Britney. Should we anticipate the release of another album or was Bai Ling just looking for attention?

Yesterday “most” of us were putting finishing touches on our tax returns and dreading slow servers online and slow lines at the post office. While we were doing that some of our favorite stars were living the good life and not paying their taxes.
- Gordon Ramsay famous chef and host of reality shows Kitchen Nightmares & Hell’s Kitchen was fined $450 pounds by the British government for not meeting filing deadlines.
- Richard Hatch was a winner of the reality series Survivor failed to report his $1 million winnings. He’s in jail for this offense and he will be released in 2009.
- Marc Anthony owed $2.5 million in back taxes in 2007.
- Joe Francis the famous creator of Girls Gone Wild was busted for 2 counts of tax evasion. He hid money on foreign lands and claimed over $20 million in phony deductions.
