NBA star Shaquille O’Neal has filed for divorce of his wife Shaunie O’Neal, who he has been married to for five years. The couple has 4 children together, and each brought in 1 child from previous relationships. Shaq stands to lose a significant amount of money if his assets were not protected by a prenuptial agreement. The Miami Heat star makes $20 million annually with his contract with the Miami Heat, and he makes “several million” in endorsements. He also has a wonderful home on Miami Beach’s exclusive star island which is now worth $32 million. Interestingly enough, Shaq asked Shaunie to provide a “correct accounting” of all assets she had access to during the marriage. Could this be an indicator of what went wrong in what appeared to be the “perfect marriage?”
