  • Spago ($51 and up)
    Spago is well-known for its signature dishes created by one of the greatest celebrity chefs, Wolfgang Puck. Spago offers elegance and it has hosted various events during the award season in Los Angeles. Many people are drawn to Spago for classic dishes such as: Handmade Agnolotti with Mascarpone; Chino Farms Roasted Beet Layer Cake; and Prime Côte de Boeuf for Two.
  • Yamashiro ($31-50)
    Known for its unique architecture and romantic ambiance Yamashiro presents their “Cal Asian” cuisine with elegance. Yamashiro brings a unique flavor to Hollywood. On the appetizer menu, you can find anything from tempura items to crab cakes. Yamashiro offers an extensive list of entrees with great dishes such as: Wagy “Kobe Rib Eye” and Chiptole Citrus Lamb Chops.
  • The Stinking Rose ($30 and under)
    The Stinking Rose offers a truly unique and entertaining dinning experience for its. The Stinking Rose is known for its use of garlic in their California-Italian cuisine. Many enjoy the Mojito Bar featuring unique flavors such as pineapple, melon, strawberry, Cuban Blue, Baja, and Moscow. With great appetizers ranging from mussels to crab, if you’re a seafood lover- this is hard to resist! Some favorites include Garlic Braised Boneless Short Rib; Forty Clove Garlic Chicken; and Italian Meat Loaf. The menu offers unique variety of food seasoned with garlic. If you’re a crab lover consider ordering a Whole Crab that is roasted in their secret garlic sauce! Remember, at the Stinking Rose their motto is: “We Season Our Garlic with Food!”

Orlando Ale House is definitely a diamond in the rough in fantasy land. While many flock to some of the fancy restaurants near Universal Studios and International Drive, they are missing out on a restaurant that has great food, and offers a unique dinning experience. This restaurant is a secret among locals. It’s a combination of an Irish Pub, and a trendy bar and grill. At the Ale House, its popular for its seafood, some favorites include fried clams, shrimp, and raw oysters. Many locals get together and enjoy a “bucket of beers“, 5 bottles of beer fit in a small bucket. This is the hotspot if you’re getting together with buddies to watch a football or basketball game. This atmosphere is definitely family friendly, with lovely booths to accommodate locals and tourist alike.

If you’re looking to get away on a vacation that won’t break the bank, consider these travel destinations

China
Many US tourists are flocking to China because the currency exchange rate is favorable to the US dollar, and 4-star hotels are reasonable. China has become quite tourist friendly, just imagine yourself taking pictures of the Great Wall or looking at some of the finest hand-dyed silks and jewelry on Shanghai’s Nanjing Road.
